Fish-mint leaves chutney
A recipe in pictures!
Take 20-30 fish-mint leaves, 8-10small cloves of garlic, 2-3 green chillies, 1/2 medium size tomatoes chopped, 3-4 cherry tomatoes.
Place all vegetables on the centre of a washed, cleaned banana leaf and add salt to taste.
Wrap up the vegetables with the banana leaf.
Tie the packet with a string or a banana stem fibre or fibrous centre part of a banana leaf.
Place the parcel in a hot wok or tava and lower the heat .
Cover the parcel with a lid and let it cook for about 40-45minutes
Unwrap the parcel and mash all ingredients together, along with 1tsp raw mustard oil and,

Hints & tips
To prepare a banana leaf parcel without tearing the leaf, you may gently warm it up, this will make it more pliable.
