Ajwain Tea or Carom seed infusion


Carom seeds or Ajwain in Hindi is a well-known spice in an Indian kitchen. This tiny, brown coloured seeds have a strong pungent, bitter flavour.


Apart from being used for tempering oils in curries it is extensively used for its health benefits. Carom seeds are extremely helpful in maintaining digestive health.

How to make it

I cup water

1tsp ajwain seeds

Pinch of Salt(optional)


Take 1cup water in a saucepan, add the ajwain seeds. Bring to a boil and lower the heat, Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Pour straight into a cup or strain and sit back, relax and sip.
